always thought I wanted to have a son. Then I had my daughter. She is the sweetest thing. I was surprised that I would enjoy tea parties and princesses as much as I do. I played dress up and Barbies, waiting for the day when my little girl wanted to play sports. I thought that day was never going to come. Then one day we went to a baseball game. She had a really good time. On the way home she asked if girls played baseball. At last! I said they play softball and that I would show her what it was.
She was hooked and I signed her up for the next season. No we needed softball sports equipment.
I had always gotten sports equipment at the sporting goods store. This time I was going to check out softball sports equipment online. I was more than overwhelmed. Who knew there were so many sites selling softball sports equipment? At least I knew how to narrow some things down. My daughter needed a glove, batting gloves and softball cleats to play the game. To practice we needed a bat and lots of softballs. I was getting excited looking for softball equipment. My daughter was excited about shopping I think.
The first place I started with was brands I knew. I looked at the Nokona site first. I knew that they had a great reputation when it came to gloves. I had a Nokona glove. I wanted to get my daughter a Nokona glove, but I wasn’t sure if they made softball ones. I was glad to discover that Nokona did make quite a few softball gloves. That settled that. I let my daughter pick one of the gloves from the Nokona site. One piece of softball equipment down, lots more to go.
The next softball sports equipment I looked for was batting gloves and bats. Once again I had a lot of softball equipment brands to choose from. I got her Louisville Slugger gloves and a bat. Now we were getting somewhere. I went with Worth softballs. Worth softballs were the ones the loge she was playing in used them. The next piece of softball sports equipment she needed was softball cleats.
I wasn’t sure what to do about softball cleats. I needed to find out if they were the same as youth baseball cleats. I definitely wanted to make sure her softball cleats were regulation and fit her properly. I decided to call a friend of mine. He has bought his fair share of youth baseball cleats. He has four boys and they all play baseball. I knew that he bought at least one pair of youth baseball cleats each year. He ended up being a huge help. He said for the most part youth softball cleats were the same as youth baseball cleats. Last year he had bought youth softball cleats for his niece when he bought his youngest son youth baseball cleats. I got her Adidas softball cleats and they are working out well.
I decided while I was looking that I should get a glove too so I could help her practice. I went to the Akadema website for mine. Akadema may not be as old of a brand as Nokona, but they were good also. I picked a fairly low price Akadema glove and we started to practice. Before long, I found that my daughter had a knack for softball pitching. I was very excited. I always thought softball pitching was the best part of the sport. We spent a lot of time on her softball pitching and she ended up pitching for her team.
We are now working on fastpitch softball pitching. I would like to see her take fastpitch softball pitching to the college level. Fastpitch softball pitching could earn her a scholarship. I’m so glad I took her to that ball game. We have spent a lot of time together and have had so much fun so far.
