Choosing Baseball or Basketball in High School
Taking about basketball and baseball is easy for most of us as it is one of the major high school and college games which are played by children and teenagers. These popular games are of no less importance in adults who want to see their children master these sports and even enter local community center games.
Parents are more inclined to get tips from basketball articles and updates in order to educate themselves and facilitate their children with all sort of help related to this sports. Many parents, especially fathers are more interested to make their child college basketball star.
Similarly, baseball update is of great importance to people who are more interested in baseball. Some recent stories can be useful to evoke interest and liking for the game. Furthermore, tips techniques and proper couching to develop baseball skills.
The prime factor is however, whether your child already likes it or not. It is not worth to push children into unwanted fields. Firstly they won’t do well if they do not like it; secondly this inability to accomplish excellence can further lead to an inferiority complex and lack of motivation to do anything.
You can check the interest of the child prior to suggesting any sports for him. If he already comes to you demanding a basketball or baseball equipment, it is already clear. But if your child is not very expressive you should go and ask him about a baseball update, you have recently heard. If he has interest he would share his views.
What is not being explicitly mentioned in baseball and basketball articles and what we often overlook while choosing a game for children is the level of comfort they feel being a part of a group and on individual level. If a child is more comfortable in individual games it is not a good idea to force him into basketball.
Also both basketball and baseball are very aggressive sports, though they hold learning in a lot of dimensions. So if a child chooses any of these sports parents should also discuss it with a councilor or sports coach if there are some reservations in psychological grooming of your child or not.
Thus, summing it all basketball and baseball are both healthy sports largely in practice in many schools and colleges as co-curricular activities. These contribute toward healthy personality development, and living a goal oriented life.
Care however, is essential to make sure that the child feels safe with this game and it does not happen to be an obstacle or a problem for his studies in the long-run. These sports should be pursued by child consent and personal will, imposing views on the child may ruin his personality bringing in a lot of other issues for you to handle.
It’s good to motivate your child with your positive gestures, but never ever force him to take part in any sport which he does not like at all. Let him choose what he wants to be, its purely his decision to make.
