Replace or repair- the answer seems easy but is it?
Spring is upon us and many coaches are finding that their equipment coming out of storage is no longer up to the job at hand. Fortunately not all equipment has to be completely replaced when damaged. While this netting can be quite durable there will undoubtedly come a day when it starts to fall apart. While the cheapest solution may be to simply buy a new net there may not be a replacement readily available. Many of the least expensive screens have no replacement nets. So the decision to not replace the net was actually made when the screen was originally purchased. Making sure replacement parts are available for the equipment items you purchase should be at the top of the list of features for all equipment items.
With budgets shrinking every year and sports programs growing there is a definite need to repair items rather than buy new ones. In the case of an L-Screen you may want to purchase a replacement net with your initial order. You will have it on hand for future use adding immediate longevity to the equipment purchase.
Often times expensive equipment items can be repaired rather than replaced.
