RiffMaster Pro Features and Benefits
RiffMaster Pro is a software program that was invented by guitarist and guitar teacher Heath Nicholson. Riff Master Pro is designed to take any .wav or .mp3 file and play that sound file back at any speed or pitch you desire.
The main reason people use RiffMaster Pro is to learn a peice of music that is too fast to learn by ear at regular speed. RiffMaster Pro is most popular amongst guitarists but is used by other musicians as well.

RiffMasterPro allows you to do several things to manipulate music to assist you, the musician, in learning the music or solo:
- With RiffMaster Pro you can slow down any music to as slow as one quarter its original speed. Using a slider bar you have fine control tuning as to how slow you make the piece of music. You can slow it down just a tiny bit or slow it down to an almost non-discernible crawl. This is one of the most popular and loved features of RiffMaster Pro as the music or guitar gets slowed down without altering the pitch one bit. This allows the musician or guitarist to instantly start learning the music without having to re-tune their instrument.
- RiffMaster Pro has a pitch slider that allows you to change just the pitch of music if you wish. The main purpose of this is that if your instrument is out of tune with the music you can ‘re-tune the music’ instead of your instrument which is much quicker
- RiffMaster Pro has a built in 8 band equilizer that allows you to alter tones of the music you want to slow down in a manner that accentuates the instrument (guitar solo) you want to hear clearly. With guitar solos this is usually accomplished by lowing the bass and high treble tones and increasing the mid tones. This allows guitar solo part to really come through much more clearly and strongly.
- RiffMaster Pro allows you to set start and end points of the music so only the part of the music you want to hear and learn plays or loops. RiffMaster Pro allows you to very finely tune the start and end points right down to the exact note. You can also use those start and end point to specify the part of the music you want to say as a .wav or .mp3 file if you wish.
- With RiffMaster Pro you can even transcribe any song

I have had and been using RiffMaster Pro for several months now and I do not have one single complaint. (guess that is why Heath was not reluctant to give me RiffMaster Pro).
I am amazed at how well RiffMaster Pro works. The only way you could hear lead guitar solos more clearly would be if you had the guitarist in your living room to show you it note for note. Any guitar solo I want to learn, from George Lynch(Dokken), Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Dimebag, I load it into RiffMaster Pro, slow it down, use the EQ sliders to make the solo really stand out and I can cleanly and cleary hear EVERY SINGLE NOTE, note for note.
It is pretty rare that I don’t have at least one complaint about a digital item so I guess RiffMaster is the exception.
