Teething and toilet training can be some of the most trying times with tiddlers. Unfortunately, both events normally happen at around the same time and our tots find themselves leaking out of both ends – quite literally! Thank goodness, today’s potties and bibs make life much easier for parents when it comes to dealing with puddles.
Routine and familiarity are essential to a child that’s learning a whole new way of controlling their bodily functions. But when they need a wee away from their familiar surroundings, everything seems to go to pot or, in this case, not. A lot of children find this so distressing they simply can’t go or wet themselves rather than ask. Suddenly no one is relaxed, there is a lot of stress and the whole potty training thing can become a ‘big deal’ which takes much longer than necessary.
The Potette Plus gets over this brilliantly. Specifically designed to be easily portable and ready to use immediately for those “have to go NOW!” moments. The bio-degradable, disposable liners make the whole experience simple and fuss-free and for older boys and girls, it can also be used as an insert to the main toilet seat.
And then there’s the other end of our little sweethearts. Dribbles aren’t something you can train away and all the teething gel in the world doesn’t stop them soaking through the top half of an outfit as fast as you can say “Let’s pop that wet shirt off, shall we?”
The thing is, as cute as some toddler bibs can be, they’re not exactly what we dream of dressing our little darlings in are they? Personally I dreaded the moment when I’d have to cover half of the gorgeous outfit I’d chosen with a piece of terry towelling to catch the constant waterfall of dribble, even more so if we were visiting someone that had gifted us the outfit in question. Having said that, I’m well aware there’s quite enough laundry without changing babies clothes even more times a day, and a damp chest is neither healthy nor attractive.
Turns out a loving and rather clever granny had similar thoughts and designed a completely new solution. An eye-catching neckerchief, The Dribblebuster catches drool but still shows off the outfit underneath. For a fully-matching answer to dribble dressing, there are also co-ordinating t-shirts!
